Senior Counsel

Mario Granados is a well-known Attorney and Legal Advisor, who speaks Spanish, Italian and English. In 1968, he obtained his Law Degree at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). In 1971, he was awarded an International and Public Law specialization by the University of Turin, Italy.

Experience

Professionally, Attorney Granados has a wide experience in the public, private and education sector.

Positions Held in Public Sector:

•On the Public Sector, he had the high honor to be appointed as Deputy Magistrate-Judge of the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Costa Rica for eleven years. (1991-2002).

Positions Held in Education Sector:

He had the honor to teach at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) , among the courses he lectured are the following:
•Faculty of Law and the School of Political Science: Professor in charge of the Professorship in Public Law (1972 to 1980).
•Member of the Institute of International Law. Faculty of Law and Public Law Institute. (1974 to 1980).
•Adjunct professor in the departments of Public International Law and International Private Law until 1980.

He had the honor to teach at the Universidad Autónoma de Centroamérica (UACA) , among the courses he lectured are the following:
•Tutor of Law from 1978 to 2005 and Dean of Costa Rican Stvdivm Generale, UACA, from 1991 to 2004, Chancellor from 1991 to 2003, Member of the Academic Senate until 2005.
•Licentia docendi et ubique (1978) Professor (1986), Sponsor, President of the Jury of Law from 1987 to 1990, Chief Justice Member of the University from 1989 to 1990.

Awards and Honors:

•Knight Grand Cross of the Military Order Justice and Nobility of the Holy Trinity.
•Knight of the Military Order and Nobility, of the Order of Malta.
•Honorary Doctorate, Master Optimus mention of the Autonomous University of Central America. (UACA).
•Honorary President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Italo-Rican.

Member of the Following Institutes and Commissions:

•Bar Association.
•Federación Internacional de Abogados (miembro de alto rango).
•International Federation of Lawyers (senior member).
•Chamber of Industry and Commerce Italian-Costa Rican President. (2000 - 2001). •Economic Development Association and President, ANFE (2003-2004).
